Yesterday I promised to show you the card I made that was inspired by the one my friend sent to me - well here it is! The colour combo is Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler and the stamp sets used are Summer Silhouettes and Memorable Moments. My all-time favourite stamp set used to be Vintage Vogue so I was very sad when it retired, but I think I've now found it's replacement. The Memorable Moments is also a brilliant set as it has numbers 0-9, an RD, ND, TH and ST, as well as the words Happy, Anniversary and Birthday. Just for good measure there is also a Label stamp which co-ordinates with the Framelits collection. All you need is the faithful Stamp-a-ma-Jig and you can make a card suitable for any age or anniversary.
For the little floral collection at the bottom of my card I started by making some masks for the flowers by stamping onto a post-it note and cutting out with my paper snips. I stamped 3 flowers onto Whisper White cardstock, covered them with my masks and then stamped the leaves using Staz-on. The sentiment was stamped using the stamp-a-ma-jig, again in Staz-on and then the panel was matted onto Cherry Cobbler Cardstock. A piece of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding was fixed down the side of the card and a knot of Basic Black Satin ribbon (now retired) tied around in a knot. This was then matted onto a plain white A5 card blank and a Basic Pearl was placed in the centre of each flower to finish the card.
A gorgeous bouquet and colour combination. Lovely. X
