New Baby

 A work colleague has just welcomed her first Granddaughter into the world so this is the congratulations card I have made for her. I find working with pink extremely difficult as it's not a colour I like so by no means the best card I've ever made but it's the thought that counts :0) I used the retired All in the Family for the image, along with some Pretty in Pink DSP, (both diecut with the Labels Collection Framelits), Pink Pirouette cardstock and taffeta ribbon and the sentiment is from Friendly Phrases. I did a bit of paper piercing around the diecuts, using a template from the Essentials pack and added a couple of Basic Pearls.

LIM and another film (or two?)

I needed a break from sorting and organising and, because an idea for this week's LIM challenge of a 'One Layer Film' card came into my head, I stopped what I was doing and made this for my second entry!
It is the film 'Three Men & a Little Lady', I could have done '& a Baby' but I just fancied giving the little lady a sparkly crown. Made with the 'All in the Family' retired set, a LOT of work with the Stamp-a-ma-Jig, a bit of Heat & Stick and Dazzling Diamonds and some colouring in with my SU markers. I chose the (retired) sentiment as I am never going to be able to use this card for anything so I made it 'just because'!!! Has anybody wondered why one man is dressed differently? Well that's because, with a bit of covering up, there's another film in there..........

TWINS!!

 Oh dear I really do need to get a life don't I?  :0)

My apologies for the lack of posts this week but my Dad is still in hospital and we are trying to get things sorted and, on top of that, on Tuesday I developed a streaming cold making me feel very sorry for myself!! Back at school for one week and I'm already picking up the kids germs - it doesn't bode well does it?
Anyway this week at Less is More the ladies are asking for Ovals so I have used the oval Designer Embossing Frame to make a card for my eldest grandson who, at the grand old age of 4, is starting 'proper' school on Monday. I seem to have used a lot of retired or retiring stamps for this card so I won't bore you with the details. I have used Pacific Point, as the colour of the uniform is Royal Blue, and Basic Gray for the trousers. The small picture on the right shows the inside of the card and I have done this because just lately whenever I see him he has drawn a 'special picture for Granny' and it always comes in a massive envelope covered in kisses so I thought I would send him a big one back!

Another Reason to Smile

I have found a few minutes this afternoon to post yet another card made with the gorgeous Reason to Smile set. This time I have used Early Espresso on a Naturals Ivory card base and a piece of First Edition Speacialty paper. I stamped the outline flower/stem stamp with early Espresso onto the DSP and then used Crumb Cake on the 'fill in' stamp. The edges of the cardstock and DSP were cut with one of the dies in the Adorning Accents Edgelits set and, and then layered this onto the Naturals Ivory card base which had been randomly stamped with the outline flower. Oh I missed a bit - before layering the panel onto the base I wrapped some Linen Thread around and tied in a knot. The tags are punched with the Jewelry tag punch and the sentiments are from For my Family (part of a stamp) and Tiny Tags. Be back soon x

 

Still hospital visiting and still little time to blog, let alone craft! A very quick post showing you a card I made for someone a couple of weeks ago (couldn't show you until after her birthday!) It's quite self-explanatory if I just tell you the supplies I used and it also means I can get to bed :0)

Colour scheme - Baja Breeze and Whisper White, 'Nannie' stamped from Varsity Alphabet and cut out with paper snips, baby stamped with All in the Family, 'to my' from For my Family, flowers punched from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, hearts punched with the Small Heart punch, Baja Breeze Seam Binding and Basic Pearls.

Welcome Baby!

Yes I finally got away from the Punch Art cards (although I have still been case-ing them!) and have a baby card for you today. I used the baby image from All in the Family and the sentiment from Petite Pairs, all stamped in Basful Blue and punched with the small Square Punch. These were matted onto Whisper White which had been run through the Square Lattice Embossing folder and punched with the Scallop Square punch. A strip of Bashful Blue cardstock was cut to fit and the bottom was shaped with the Square Punch then the Scallop Squares were positioned onto this, leaving room to tie round some Bakers Twine on which I had added stripes with a Bashful Blue marker.
