3D Simples Sunday

For today's Simples Sunday post I thought I would share a 3D project with you, which I saw on YouTube by a lady named Cheryl Fladager, and uses the brand new Envelope Punch Board (now available to order at £17.95).You can see Cheryl's video here.
I originally used the idea to make Halloween Treat bags for my Grandchildren's party (see below) but, as Halloween has now gone, I made some more Christmas themed ones to show you today. They are so easy to make and use just a 5" square piece of DSP or cardstock so perfect for using up all those oddments. They can be used to hold chocolate bars or, if you are giving money as a gift, this is a nice way to give it.
For the pouches above I have used Winter Frost Speciality DSP along with a Festive Flurry Framelit and a sentiment from Petite Pairs but you can use anything really and decorate with whatever supplies you have. The photos below show the Halloween version along with a Santa suit money holder.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend

Sketch Challenge

Whilst hopping around blogs the other day I came across a site called Paper Craft Crew Challenges and when I saw the sketch for this week I had to play. A completely different style to my normal cards but I enjoyed the challenge so much I ended up making two!! Come and have a look.

For this one I used some leaves that were lying around which I'd cut with the Autumn Accents die the other day. I sponged them, along with an acorn, using 'autumnal' colours - too many to mention but all SU! The leaf on the oval is from Lovely as a Tree and this was stamped in Old Olive and coloured with a blender pen, using some of the same colours. Cardstock is Early Espresso, Neutrals Ivory and Very Vanilla with the leaves in Crumb Cake and Pumpkin Pie. I finished the card with a knot of twine made from strands pulled from a piece of Burlap Ribbon and a sentiment from the Express Yourself Hostess set.
I am also entering this card for the Around the World challenge (AW03) which this month is 'Fall' (or Autumn in the UK!)

After my first attempt I went on to make a Christmas card using the same sketch. The colour combo is Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate and white with a piece of Winter Frost Speciality DSP for the background. The snowflakes are from Festive Flurry stamped in Smoky Slate and cut out with the matching Framelits. Both sentiments are stamps from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and a bow of silver ribbon and some Basic Rhinestones were added to finish the card.

Thanks for stopping by, back soon

Another White on White!

My third, and final, entry to the LIM challenge -
White on White Christmas

For this one I started with a circular aperture, cut in a white card base, using a Circle Framelits Collection die and silver embossed a sentiment from Greetings of the Season (a carryover set still available from last year's seasonal catalogue). I then cut two snowflakes from the Festive Flurry Framelits, glued one on top of the other and decorated with dazzling Diamonds and Basic Rhinestones. This was positioned inside the card so it shows through the aperture. Three Basic Rhinestones were placed beneath the sentiment to finish the card.
