Less is More - Colour Challenge

Back again with an entry to the first Less is More challenge of 2013 which is a colour challenge using ‘Black and White with a touch or a splash, a hint or suggestion, a dab or a  patch of a colour of your choice’. It has been so long since I have had the time to join the LIM entrants but, now with my Dad finally sorted and settled, hopefully I will be able to join in on a much more regular basis!
I started this very simple card by making a panel using the heart stamp from Confetti, stamped in Basic Black onto Whisper White and matted onto a strip of Basic Black cardstock. This was then matted onto a square of Whisper White and a couple of score lines added down the sides. The sentiment is a retired SU stamp and my ‘touch of colour’ is a tiny Cherry Cobbler heart punched with the Owl Builder punch positioned next to the sentiment. This was then matted onto a 10cm square Basic Black card blank.

For the challenge I have had to remove 'word verification' from the comments however I am now trying the 'not accepting anonymous comments' - whether it works or not I'll have to see so if it causes anyone problems please let me know and I'll stop experimenting. To illustrate how annoying this is, below is one of 6 comments that were awating moderation this morning (all spam!)

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Belated Birthday":
noun An open, shallow, usually round container used especially for holding liquids.3- If your choice is a bassinet basket also known as moses baskets then make sure that there is no rough edges or dry reed protruding that can cause injury and ensure that its well padded without any loose folds. In the 1830s Benjamin Potter Crandall began to market the first baby carriages in the United States and they immediately turned out to be well-liked among the folks that could afford them.

Now if anyone can tell me what on earth any of that has to do with a birthday card
I'll STOP moaning :0) Even the grammar is rubbish!!

  4. I agree... anonymous comments are totally bizarre... fortunately few get through Blogger's spam filter. I recently changed who could comment on my blog and I had about 4 or 5 notifications from people who had opted to stop receiving notices of my blog posts via email. Curious or what!
Anyway... I digress, your card is fab and we look forward to seeing lots more as the weeks progress!
    Thanks so much

  7. Smashing card - love all those hearts

I get days when I have up to a dozen spam comments and then nothing for days!! I have a couple of non blogging pals who comment anonymously so I can't stop accepting anonymous comments and don't like word verification but I do check all comments before publishing. Good luck with your war on spam!
