Definitely a Challenge!

I know that here at my humble blog Sunday's are supposed to be 'Simples' but I wanted to share a challenge card I made and boy was it a challenge!! (If you want to see this week's Simples Sunday card you just need to scroll down and click on 'Older posts')
With all that has been going on with family stuff over the past months, it has been ages since I have even looked at the Friday Mashup challenges and I would choose this week to look wouldn't I? The challenge is

1. Make a project using the "Sketch".

2Or Make a project using "Butterflies & Your Brayer".

3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project with "your Brayer using the Sketch and add some Butterflies".

A brayer? Well I have one but do I ever use it? Can I do it? Have I tried and failed lots of times before? There is only one of those questions that has yes as the answer and there's no prizes for guessing which one that will be!!
Well I did use it and, although it's only a small insignificant piece, at least I tried. I used the brayer to colour some grass with Certainly Celery and sky with Bashful Blue and then added some grasses with the edge of the brayer. This panel was positioned on to a card blank which had already been matted with Certainly Celery DSP and three butterflies, cut with the Beautiful Wings Embosslits die, were added. The sentiment from Curly Cute was stamped onto Whisper White using Pacific Point and the ends cut into a banner shape.
Certainly a Mashup and definitely a challenge!! :0) Back tomorrow with some little Easter Treats.

  1. You did a great job with your brayer. It can be quite intimidating, can't it? :) Thanks so much for joining the Friday Mashup this week.

  2. Ha Ha I see I'm not the only one who doesn't have a love of the brayer. I think your card came out great! I love the gradient effect you achieved. Thanks for joining us at the Friday Mashup.
