Candle Box

This is one of the projects we made at my Craft Day last week, a little box that holds two votive candles. The box is made in the lovely new In Colour, Crisp Cantaloupe, and decorated with the 'just as lovely' new DSP from the Paper Stack.
The paper bow was made with the Large Oval punch, a small circle punch and a strip of DSP fishtailed at each end. I decorated my candles with cardstock and DSP but I found the cardstock a little too thick to get a nice finish so the ladies just used DSP and they looked much better. The flowers are from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch and finished with Basic Rhinestones.
When I was designing the box I actually made the one shown below first, in Pistachio Pudding  and Chocolate Chip but decided it looked a little bit too 'masculine' for candles so I will save that one for some sweet treats!! I used the Six Sided Sampler stamp set along with the Hexagon punch for this one and tied it using Chocolate Chip Chevron ribbon.

  1. Lovely idea for boxes. Cantaloupe is a gorgeous colour & the first box is crying out to be filled with choccies!
