House of Cards Colour Inspiration

Two posts today, and why, because I'm very disorganised this week - well it sounds better than because I'm daft!!!
The House of Cards challenge this week is a colour inspiration in the style of Fun & Cute and I made this earlier in the week, completely forgot about it and have just found it after a massive tidy up in my craft room!
I thought I was too late but a visit to the HOC site tells me I have just under an hour to submit so a very hurried photo (in dusk so hence the rubbish quality!) and a super quick post. The colours I chose to use are Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black along with Zoo Babies, A Dozen Thoughts, Summer Silhouettes stamp sets and the tufts of grass from the now retired Dinoroar.
Phew made it just in time!!

'Simples Sunday' for the kids

For this week's 'Simples Sunday' I have four cards to show you, all made with the Dinoroar set. I simply stamped them straight onto 10cm square card blanks and then coloured them in with an aqua painter. The set consists of the four dinosaur images, two sentiments and the tufts of grass - ideal for all those dinosaur fans out there. I am not really sure what colours they should be, apart from T.Rex who I know is green, so I've just made them up but you could do them any colour you fancied. Why is it that at some stage all little boys seem to go through the dinosaur phase? My grandson loves them and I can remember both my son and my nephew (yes all those years ago) were exactly the same.
I hope you're having a lovely weekend and I'll be back soon x

One Layer - Film

When I saw the challenge at LIM this week was 'One Layer - Film' I thought this week is not for me. I don't have a problem with the one layer, it was the 'film' bit that put me off as I'm definitely not a cinema person. However, on going into the hovel that is my craft room (I will tell you about that later), I saw the Dinoroar stamp set on my desk that has still not been put away from my grandson's crafty half hour the other day and thought - Jurassic Park!!
I stamped his favourite dinosaur in Always Artichoke, coloured him with my aqua painter in Lucky Limeade and Crumb Cake, stamped the sentiment and grass, again in Always Artichoke and voila a One Layer Film :0)
Why oh why am I off work for over 2 weeks and then, 3 days before I go back and with a mountain of other stuff that needs doing, do I decide to reorganise my craft room? Hence the hovel mentioned before. If someone can tell me I'd really like to know :0)
Have a great weekend and enjoy what promises to be a bit more 'spring like' weather x
