Simples Sunday meets Frugal Friday!

Firstly I must explain the title of today's post. I came across a new challenge the other day set by Lizy, a fellow SU team member, called Frugal Friday where she is challenging people to use up those scraps lying around on your desk. Well I think I have enough scraps lying around to make enough cards to open my own shop so here is just one card that I have put together this morning using the scraps at the top of my pile (Lizy also wanted us to post a photo of the scraps on our desk, so you can see that below)
My card base is Naturals Ivory, matted with Wisteria Wonder and a Very Vanilla panel stamped with the Woodgrain stamp. The tag was made with the Scallop Tag Topper punch and decorated with Petite Petals, a sentiment from Four You and a scrap of Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon. Three Bitty Butterflies were added along with a few Basic Pearls. The only thing that was done especially for this card was the stamping of the sentiment and the addition of the pearls - even the card base was lying around waiting to be used!!
Why not set yourself the challenge and then post your card on Lizy's blog (link above).
All that leaves is for me to wish you a great Bank Holiday weekend and a photo of my (untidy) desk!

Easter Treats

Today I have some little Easter Treat Holders to show you which I made using the Scallop Tag Topper punch. The idea came from an American demo called Sandi MacIver whose video can be seen here.
I adapted the measurements for the rabbit and chick to make them a bit taller but the basic idea is the same.
I won't bore you with all the product details as you can use whatever you have to hand to make and decorate them.
Back soon

Treat Box & Matching Card

This is a matching treat box and card we made at a class today and the box is similar to the one I posted a few weeks ago which can be seen here. (The card was CASE'd from Jill Franchett)
The idea came about when I was doing some instructions for another box which we also made at today's class and, whilst checking them over, this idea popped into my head. The box measures approx 2" wide and 5" high so is just the right size for a few sweet treats.
It is made in Smoky Slate cardstock and decorated with DSP from the Watercolour Wonder pack. Of course it has to have some Petite Petals flowers (I don't seem to make much these days that hasn't got these little beauties on!!) and they are stamped in Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate then cut out with the co-ordinating punch. A few leaves from the Bird Builder punch and some colored paper cut with the Fringe Scissors finished the project.
If you would like to order any Stampin'Up! supplies then please do not hesitate to contact me and I'll be happy to help

Chocolate Box

Yesterday I showed you a card which I had CASE'd from a fellow team member, Aida, and I promised I would be back today to show you the matching box I made to go with it. Aida kindly said I could share her design with you which is posted on her Facebook page and can be found here.

The box I have made is different to Aida's as I wanted it to hold a few yummy chocolates - it is approx 5" tall x 2" square. Made with the same supplies as yesterday's card, those being Naturals White cardstock, Gorgeous Grunge stamps, Elegant Butterfly punch and a piece of Crochet Trim and Elegant Eggplant Ribbon. The top of the box was shaped using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.

I have also made a variation on this design so, if you would like to see it, then do pop back tomorrow :0)

I am back at school today after the half term break - does anyone else remember when school holidays seemed to last for an eternity? Now they seem to go in a flash. Oh well just another sign of old age I suppose!!

Treat Box

I've done enough for the men this week so have something really feminine to show you today - a little treat box. This came about when I was doing some instructions for another box which we will be making at a class next week and, whilst checking them over, this idea popped into my head. Off I went into my craft room to give it a go and this is what I ended up with.
The box measures approx 2" wide and 5" high so is just the right size for a few sweet treats. I used Wisteria Wonder cardstock and stamped all over using the En Francais background stamp. The fancy top is, of course, done with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (one of my new favourite tools!!). The flowers are stamped with images from Petite Petals, punched with the co-ordinating punch. I added a few Pistachio Pudding leaves punched with the Bird Builder punch.
I hope you like it and if you would like to buy any of the products used (or any others for that matter) please don't hesitate to get in touch - contact details on tab at the top.
Thanks for stopping by today

Birthday Duo

Yesterday was the birthday of a friend who is going through a bit of a tough time at the moment so is in real need of a bit of cheering up.
I made this matching card and gift wallet for her using some of the new products in the Spring catalogue alongside some current main catalogue goodies.
The card was made using Wisteria Wonder DSP from the Subtles Paper Stack. flowers from Petite Petals punched with the co-ordinating punch, a sentiment from Sassy Salutations and a piece of Whisper White Taffeta ribbon.

The wallet contains a Stampin'Up! gift voucher and was made using the Envelope Punch Board and the new Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
The sentiment is from Bring on the Cake punched with the Large Oval and matted onto a Scallop Oval
