Mocha Morning Thank You's
A really quick post today as I must get on and do some other things! Some easy thank you cards using the Mocha Morning Speciality DSP, the Elegant Thank You stamp for the two cards bottom right and a stamp from Oval All for the rest. The Elegant Thank You was punched with the Scallop Square punch and the others with the Oval punch and matted onto a Scallop Oval. The leafy branch is punched from the Bird Builder punch and the flowers are from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack with a Basic Pearl in the centre.
I am hoping to get a card made for the Less is More and Simply Stampin' challenges sometime over the weekend so do pop back and see if I've managed it! Until then have a great weekend and if the sun is shining, like it is here at the moment, make the most of it :0)

Cards in a box
You may have seen the thank you cards I made the other day using Mocha Morning DSP, well I needed a present for the Secret Santa which we do each year at work and I thought a set of these little cards would make quite a nice present. With no more ado I set to and made eight more of the cards and then a gift box to put them in (oh I do love making boxes and they are really not as difficult as you might think). This one was made with Chocolate Chip cardstock and simply decorated with a couple of pieces of Mocha Morning DSP, to match the contents, and a flower for the front made with Brushed Gold cardstock, DSP and the Boho Blossoms punch. The front is fastened with magnetic discs and a loop of Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon was added to make it easy to open. I made the sentiment on the computer and punched out with the Jewelry Tag punch.
Come back tomorrow to see a children's card made with the ever faithful Owl punch!

More Thank You's
Some more thank you cards as promised! These are on the same lines as the ones I posted yesterday but the two above are using some of the new products in the 2011-12 catalogue. The one pictured on the left is made using Island Indigo (one of the 2011-13 In-Colours) cardstock and DSP from the paper stack, with a bow of the lovely Ruffled Ribbon and on the left another new In-Colour, Lucky Limeade, again with DSP from the paper stack. The ribbon on this card is Whisper White Organza ribbon coloured with a sponge dauber and ink pad.
As with yesterday's cards the sentiment is from Oval All punched with the Oval punch and matted onto a co-ordinating Scallop Oval.
*For supplies used on the cards on the left please see yesterday's post

Thank You Mocha Morning!
A quick post today to show you some little thank you cards, which measure just 6.5cmx9cm, that I have made with some scraps of the gorgeous Mocha Morning Speciality DSP, Basic Black, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake cardstock and Basic Black and Crumb Cake ribbon. I used a sentiment from Oval All punched with the Oval Punch and matted onto co-ordinating cardstock punched with the Scallop Oval punch. Very simple little cards which only take minutes to make but look quite luxurious when finished! I do need to make more of these so will be back to show you those when they are made.

Another Little Gift Box
This is a box I made to go with a card that I posted a few days ago (top left), using Very Vanilla and Soft Suede cardstock and one of the lovely Mocha Morning Speciality papers. I cut two Milk Cartons with the die and then cut off the end panel which doesn't have the flap (if I'd have thought about it I could have positioned my cardstock in the right place and saved cardstock!) leaving three panels on each. These were then glued together and the tops folded towards the middle. I punched holes with the smallest hole on the crop-a-dile in each of the folded sections and threaded some Linen Thread through and tied in a bow to keep the top held together. I hand cut some triangles of DSP to fit in the spaces on the top of the box and for the sides used my two Square punches and cut the larger in Soft Suede and the other in DSP, layered them on top of one another and glued to the sides of the box. This just shows yet another way to use the fabulous Mini Milk Carton die - I love it!!

Here is another Christmas card made with some of the new products in the catalogue (and a couple of old ones). First of all I embossed the frame onto a strip of Whisper White cardstock using the oval from the Textured Frames Embossing set and added an oval on which I had used the Mother of Pearl Technique, using Frost White Shimmer Paint and Crumb Cake, punched with the large Oval punch. I had already gold embossed the sentiment onto the oval before punching it out. A background was stamped, with a stamp from Serene Snowflakes, in Crumb Cake. This was then matted onto a wider strip of Mocha Morning DSP and a bow, made with Soft Suede Taffeta ribbon, tied around before layering onto a card blank made from Soft Suede cardstock.

Touch of Sophistication?
There is a new Speciality Designer Paper out in the current SU catalogue which is just so beautiful it was very hard to put my scissors anywhere near it! It is called Mocha Morning and has 2 single sided designs which have luscious black flocking and 4 double sided designs some of which include metallic ink. (You get 2 sheets of each design giving 12 sheets in all)
The one I have used here is a satin finish gold pattern and I have matted it onto some of the equally gorgeous Brushed Gold cardstock (I'm afraid it doesn't show up too well on the photograph but is marginally easier to see on the close up below) I stamped a bauble from Tree Trimmings and the sentiment from Season of Joy in Versamark and heat embossed them with Gold Embossing powder. The bauble was punched with the Oval Punch and matted onto a Scallop Oval punched from the Brushed Gold cardstock. A small piece of Basic Black satin ribbon was knotted around before mounting onto a Basic Black card blank. The things that look like white spots are actually Basic Pearls!!
