Brown & Pink

It's a colour challenge of Brown & Pink this week at Less is More and this is the card I've made. I punched one edge of a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Eyelet Border punch before matting onto a slightly larger piece of Chocolate Chip. Before fixing to my card blank I tied some Pink Pirouette Taffeta Ribbon round and finished with a bow. The central stamp is from Everything Eleanor stamped in Crumb Cake with a sentiment from Petite Pairs stamped in Chocolate Chip. I made some flowers with Pink Pirouette and Chocolate Chip cardstock, punched with Boho Blossoms and Itty Bitty punches, with a basic Pearl for the centres and the leaves are from the Bird Builder punch.
I'm really not a fan of pink but, if I have to use it, then putting it with brown is ok with me :0)

This is a card I have made for a friend's birthday with the Create a Cupcake set and punch which was available in the Spring Mini. I hope you can work out that it's for her 60th (there was no way I was going to make 60 cupcakes!). It was made using Early Espresso and Crumb Cake with the cake stand created with the Eyelet Border punch and the Large Oval for the base. The frosting was decorated with some Dazzling Diamonds and a Basic Pearl and the numbers cut with the Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Die.

ColourQ challenge

Oh dear this is my 4th post since Friday - I really do need to get a life! Well until I do here is a card I am entering for this week's ColourQ challenge which, as you can see from the inspiration photo above, is using Chocolate Chip, Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. I decided to make another Easter card with the gorgeous Blossom stamp from Easter Blossoms and the cute little rabbit from Everybunny. I began by stamping the blossom branch in Chocolate Chip and then coloured in using a blender pen with Calypso Coral then the little bunny was stamped underneath, again in Chocolate Chip. The ink from the original stamping was blended in for the rabbits face, ears, arms and legs with a touch of pink inside the ear. I don't have the Blushing Bride ink pad so I substituted this with Pink Pirouette and used this to colour the dress and one of the eggs and Calypso Coral was used for the other egg and the shoes. To 'ground' the bunny so she didn't look like she was suspended in mid-air, I squiggled some Certainly Celery around using a blender pen then stamped the sentiment on top. The panel was matted onto a piece of Certainly Celery cardstock which had been punched along the bottom edge with the Eyelet Border punch, a knot of grosgrain ribbon tied around and then positioned onto a white card blank.
I hope you've all had a lovely weekend and have managed to enjoy the sunshine - please let this be the start of spring :0)

Lots of Eggs!

I have used another stamp from the Easter Blossoms set for today's card, this time the pretty egg.
This was stamped in Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and So Saffron across the top of a piece of Whisper White card which had been punched along the bottom edge with the Eyelet Border punch. The sentiment, also from Easter Blossoms, was stamped in So Saffron. This was then matted onto a panel of So Saffron, which had also had the bottom edge punched, and positioned in the centre of a white card blank. A bow, made with So Saffron Taffeta ribbon, and three Basic Pearls were added to finish the card.
If you would like this stamp set then you will need to order it from the Spring Mini before the 30th April, we have no idea whether anything from the mini will make it into the next main catalogue so it could be your last ever chance to get this beautiful and versatile set!
